A soft spot for people

Vanessa Casanova is onze Director Carribean. Met de wind in de haren representeert zij Wagner & Company overzees en legt ze verbindingen tussen wat zich afspeelt in Nederland en in het caribisch gebied. Ze studeerde economie, haalde haar MBA en heeft ervaring als strateeg in wereldwijde digitale marketing. Vanessa groeide op in Florida en is na een periode waarin ze terug ging naar haar geboortegrond in Venezuela nu helemaal op haar plek op Curaçao, een dynamische regio met een mix van culturen en een groeiend aantal vraagstukken. Klimaatverandering, duurzaam toerisme en ongelijkheid zijn centrale thema’s. Het vinden van de juiste middenweg in de smeltkroes van perspectieven is de grote uitdaging. Good governance is daarbij cruciaal. Vanessa verspreid met haar nieuwsgierigheid naar mensen en haar drijfveer om goed te doen voor de eilanden en voor de gemeenschappen die er leven die twee woorden. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vanessa Casanova is our Caribbean Director. She studied economics, got her MBA and has experience as a strategist in global digital marketing. Vanessa grew up in Florida and after a period of reconnecting with her roots in Venezuela she now feels completely at home in Curaçao, a dynamic region with a mix of cultures and a growing number of issues. Climate change, sustainable tourism and inequality are central themes. Finding the middle ground in the melting pot of perspectives is the big challenge. Good governance is crucial in this regard. Vanessa, with her curiosity about people and her drive to do good for the islands and their communities, spreads those two words.
